    definitely the one with the gun stock! how would this rig work for a full size minidv cam (XH A1)?

    I have used things similar. The principal is the same it’s all about changing the center of gravity so the camera doesn’t shake. The steadicam demo videos say the same thing. Thus, a monopod could work, you might need a counterweight, and a gimbal handle would help to further isolate vibrations.
