    Haven’t you read Newtoniastes 30:17 “…and lo God spake, the accelerationth of an objectth, is proportionalth to the massth and forceth with which one doth pushesth the object…th”

    “…my favourite bit of scientific information…”- I love that. Personally, as a student of literature, I like Ecclesiastes, because it’s full of beautiful poetic imagery. What creationists don’t realize is that it is only poetry, not actual science.

    As for Job, I like to think that “the giant fish” was ,in fact, a submarine that travelled back through time & rescued Job from the sea. You’ll never hear about it of course, because the crew was sworn to secrecy.

    I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life… Silly creationists.

    As a purely social experiment, (no animosity or retribution) get a 1000 fundies to volunteer. Give them an isolated island, with moderate weather and decent soil. Let them have their single book they believe has “science” and give them whatever tools they want. Ship them to the island, let them stay a while and check in on them occasionally. Though they breed like rabbits, I bet they wouldn’t last long without science’s many gifts. Just a thought…

    Look if you think the Bible is scientific then there’s no hope for you. I guess the rest of us can enjoy the lulz though

    The bible, an accurate scientific book… Where the hell in bible are described any of the physical laws that make reality ?

    You’re welcome

  11. maslab 29 November 2009 at 21:57 #

    You just expressed an idea I’ve had for a long time.
    *hugz*

    maybe more accurate would be states of mind, not levels. You see, I know that many people are getting excited to become individuals, today’s society is all about individuality. But what we get? The same as it was from beginning of men. Over half of the population are not understanding the principals of: science, belief, philosophy etc that they protect or attack on the web. It;s not a shame to do that. Peasantry fought for ideals of nobles for ages, nothing changed from that time, and it won’t.

    Nothing quite like using their own book to get the better of them. Nice :D

  14. Talon3000 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    True.

    @SpaceTrollMuthaFuka
    Dude that’s an accent, and an accent comes from one’s nationality, not if someone is gay or straight. Pitch of the voice may change but accent doesn’t unless it’s fake. By the way the bible has no science, Real science like the atom bomb is man-made, not biblical. God has nothing and will never have anything to do with science.

  16. FaytSaratome 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    @Talon3000
    You know I believe Shakespeare is easier to read, I understand it better anyways.

  17. DarkOneRRp 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    Then they correct me incorrectly, don’t they? :)

  18. Brianzilla2004 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    The story is about a large “fish,” not a whale. If you mention Jonah being eaten by a whale, Christians will correct you, “it was a big fish.”

  19. DarkOneRRp 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    great video, thunderf00t, but minor detail: whales are mammals, not fish

  20. Talon3000 29 November 2009 at 21:58 #

    Is every Bible so unreadable? “Abiteth, cometh..etc.”
    Damn, it would suck to have to read that stuff….
    Oldest book of fairytales aside, i would NOT want to read that.

    One more thing Thunderf00t on the mention of north and south wind currents in Ecclesiastes. The book is believed to be written in 250 B.C.E, somewhere in the Eastern Mediterranean. Where there is a tradition of coastal navigation via the sea.

    Wind currents that tend to travel north and south, I’m not too positive on, but sailors at the time did make use of wind currents to traverse the seas for war and trade. Doesn’t take anything divinely inspired to know which way the wind tends to blow…

    ROFL !!!, I loved the ‘not the real voice of God’.

  23. maslab 29 November 2009 at 21:59 #

    @VaeSapiens
    On some levels, yes, on many more, not really.

  24. trekkie1701c 29 November 2009 at 21:59 #

    If he is gay, that automatically makes him wrong?

    Second, if an atom bomb had been detonated there would be evidence of it, even thousands of years later. Sure, you can say God hid it, but why would he do that? Why not leave it, prove he exists, and therefore keep people in line?

  25. Ekendil 29 November 2009 at 21:59 #

    Jesusfreek is one of the most idiotic people I’ve ever seen..
